This hair and scalp jelly is made especially for thin edges but can also be used on the remainder of scalp and head hair. It contains fenugreek, stinging nettle, ginger, lavender, chamomile and shea and is thick and emollient with a consistency similar to salve or ointment.
Due to the thick and coating nature of this product, it is not recommended for low porosity hair.

Texture: This product has a texture similar to petroleum jelly, but is not made with petroleum jelly.
Look: Color May vary a bit from batch to batch; typically a medium greenish or brownish color. Bits of herbs/botanicals may be visible throughout.
Scent: Herbaceous and mildly sweet; characteristic of Fenugreek, Castor oil and Carnauba wax.

MELT WARNING- Salves/Jellies, Hairdressings, Butters and other semi-solid to solid products are subject to melting when exposed to temperatures above 72 degrees. Depending on the season/temperature, this product may melt in transit to you. The product may still be fine to use, it just might lose its texture. In most cases, refrigeration or freezing for about 15-30 minutes may be sufficient to re-solidify it.
Despite our best efforts, there is no way for us to prevent melting unless maybe the items are shipped refrigerated overnight, which would cost approximately $30 extra in shipping.
To avoid melting and disappointment, please be mindful of the temperature where you are having this item shipped as we cannot control temperatures inside postal vehicles or inside your mailbox or wherever else your package may be delivered. For best results, you will want to avoid this product sitting outside of a climate-controlled environment (ie: inside a mailbox) for too long.

NOTE: It is not an ingredient, but we do use unbleached cotton cheesecloth to strain most of the botanicals out of the jelly, so please avoid if allergic to cotton.
To Use:
You simply apply a small amount to your fingertips. A little goes a long way, so no need to over do it and I KNOW it can be tempting. Massage the jelly into your scalp with the pads of your fingers (or even better, with a battery-operated scalp massager) for 2-3 minutes, 3-4 times per week. You massage the scalp each day, even when not using this product. You may also apply some of the Jelly to your hair if you like.
After applying, you may gently brush hair from scalp to ends of hair to distribute the product evenly throughout your hair. You may also use this as a hot oil treatment (concentrating on your ends) before washing it out, but you only need a tiny bit, like a quarter sized amount – use too much and it may be harder to wash it completely out. If you have drier hair (as found in types 3 and 4 hair) you may leave this in, but it is recommended that you should wash your hair/scalp at least once a week to clarify hair follicles.
A four ounce jar can last about 1-3 months depending on amount used and how often the product is used.

What's the difference between Super Concentrated and Regular Formula?: Regular formula is Super Concentrated diluted by half with Olive oil to make it more affordable. How do you use it? Simply part your hair and using the bottle's applicator tip, put a few drops of oil onto your scalp (Apply sparingly). Massage the oil into the scalp and then smooth through the length of your hair. Keep parting your hair about 1/2 to 1 inch apart and repeat the previous step until entire scalp has been covered with oil. Let’s talk about how fast the shipping is, it’s lightning quick! The packaging felt like such a treat that I almost didn’t want to open it. That’s just how cute it was! I’ve yet to try the product as I just received it today but the smell is very herbal but nice. The consistency is creamy as well. I will update my review to reflect the efficacy of the product but I’m already back to order more things.
I love this Edge Jelly! A little goes a long way. I apply it when my hair is damp. I start at the edges and work it in until my whole scalp is done. It has an odd organic smell, which I do not mind, and leaves my dry hair soft and moisturized.
I haven't been using this long enough to really see any changes yet, but I love the smell and the consistency of the product. I purchased this specifically to use on my edges. I typically use oil for my scalp but for my edges I wanted to use something that wasn't going to be runny. I'll update if I see any new growth in the coming weeks. To add this is a very small container but if you are only using it for your edges you should be good. I couldn't imagine using it throughout my entire head as the jelly would be gone in no time. Also love the visible herbs in it.

The product was received in a reasonable amount of time. I haven’t used it long enough to notice any change or results. My only criticism is the scent. I was expecting something different, because so many people complimented the scent, but what I received kind of smells like a maple sausage. I can get over the smell if the results are good, but it is strong (and my husband keeps asking how long my hair is going to smell like this). Hopefully it is worth it.

Natural pleasing scent and high quality ingredients. the texture and scent are so wholesome and unlike anything I've tried before. Viscous enough to smooth my frizzy curly hair but doesn't overly weigh it down. Look forward to seeing if it will minimize breakage and stimulate slightly thinning hairline.
