Hair oil blends specially made for low porosity hair to encourage growth, moisture retention and stronger hair that are also lightweight and not overly heavy and coating to the hair.
Do Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Shea Butter and Olive Oil make your hair feel dry? If so, you may have low porosity hair, a type of hair that requires special care and products to help get moisture into the hair shaft and keep it there. The oils mentioned above are a bit too heavy and coating for low porosity hair, and using them results in moisture being locked out of the hair shaft, leading to dry, fragile hair. This blend was formulated with the lightweight base oils of Grape seed, Argan and Jojoba which are ideal for low porosity hair as well as top-quality essential oils. The Ayurvedic formula does not contain Jojoba or Argan oils.
It comes in four different herbal formulas: Dry Hair Formula for hair that needs a bit of pampering, Growth Booster Formula for those who want to encourage healthy growth, Fortifying Formula and 10 Herb Ayurvedic Formula for fragile hair**. I make this blend using the somewhat tedious Ayurvedic technique of making a Kashayam. This is vegan, made without animal products. The finished product is a beautiful, greenish tinted oil that does not color or stain hair. What can you do with this oil: Hot oil deep conditioning Daily scalp massage Use in daily styling Use on ends to protect against dryness and breakage Specs: translucent green-brown colored oil- it is fractionated so that it stays liquid. Comes in a squeezable plastic bottle with a spout for easy application to the scalp. This oil is on the lightweight/thinner side. How to use: you may use this to condition your scalp and hair, as often as you like. *All bottles contain 4 fluid ounces, so you will get every drop you paid for, but bottles will not be filled to the top. For best results, use daily by massaging into the scalp, lubricating the ends of hair as needed. Even better results can be achieved when using in conjunction with GHE (the greenhouse effect) or the inversion (Power Growth) method. Instructions on how to do these methods will be included with your order*. Just be aware that this and all oils can stain clothing, so it's best to apply the oil before you get dressed or in clothes you don't mind getting stained. You may also choose to put the oil on before bed and wash out in the morning, or leave it in for up to one week. You also may have good results by oiling your hair at night and "baggy-ing" it - meaning you put a plastic bag or shower cap on your hair, and cover that with a scarf. In the morning you can wash your hair and style as normal. HAIR DYE/HAIR COLORING NOTE: for those that color their hair - while I have not noticed any loss of hair coloring while using this product, some people have reported that coconut oil in general causes their hair color to fade, while others report no issues at all. I believe the affect would vary between different brands, types and shades of hair coloring, so I have no way to guarantee that it will not affect your specific color. If you choose to try the product, please try a patch test on a small piece of hair before doing the whole head, or see our sample listing and order a couple of sample of this first to see how it may affect your hair coloring. WARNING: Safety of specific herbs/oils in this product for pregnant or nursing women or children has not been determined. A Little Goes A Long Way: If you apply it to your scalp only, one 4 oz bottle can last approximately 2-3 months. I use real cow's milk (for the vitamins) and fresh coconut meat from a whole coconut I crack open myself (never pre-shredded or pre-prepared coconut). I add all 10 Ayurvedic herbs imported from India and cook it down until complete. The finished product is a a green tinted clear oil which is blended with purified water and emulsifier to produce this creamy, effective conditioner. How to use: Apply to freshly washed hair, working through hair from roots to ends. Let conditioner on for 2-5 minutes, then rinse out of hair with cool water and style as desired. What's the difference between Super Concentrated and Regular Formula?: Regular formula is Super Concentrated diluted by half with Olive oil to make it more affordable. How do you use it? I haven’t been using the product long enough to give a review of its effectiveness. Although, I do have to say it’s a well formulated product, and the packaging along with the instructions, were a plus.

There was so much care put into the package. You can tell they put their heart into the products. The oil just arrived a few days ago, so its too soon to tell how well it will work but I'm hopeful. The smell is light & refreshing, not bothersome at all.

I really like the smell from the essential oils and you really don't need much with this. I have a sensitive scalp and needed an oil that would possibly be lightly scented naturally or no scent. This oil fits that.
Love that low porosity heads were not overlooked! I like the blend so far and am excited to see what this may offer to my hair.
