Ingredients: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Organic Fractionated Coconut) Oil, Phyllanthus Emblica (Amla), Eclipta Alba (Bhringraj) Powder, Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis Linn (Hibiscus) Petal Powder, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Powder.

I make this blend using the somewhat tedious Ayurvedic technique of making a Kashayam. This is vegan, made without animal products. The finished product is a beautiful, greenish tinted oil that does not color or stain hair.

What can you do with this oil:
Hot oil deep conditioning
Daily scalp massage
Use in daily styling
Use on ends to protect against dryness and breakage

Specs: translucent green-brown colored oil- it is fractionated so that it stays liquid. Comes in a squeezable plastic bottle with a spout for easy application to the scalp. This oil is on the lightweight/thinner side.

How to use: you may use this to condition your scalp and hair, as often as you like. *All bottles contain 4 fluid ounces, so you will get every drop you paid for, but bottles will not be filled to the top.

For best results, use daily by massaging into the scalp, lubricating the ends of hair as needed. Even better results can be achieved when using in conjunction with GHE (the greenhouse effect) or the inversion (Power Growth) method. Instructions on how to do these methods will be included with your order*. Just be aware that this and all oils can stain clothing, so it’s best to apply the oil before you get dressed or in clothes you don’t mind getting stained. You may also choose to put the oil on before bed and wash out in the morning, or leave it in for up to one week. You also may have good results by oiling your hair at night and "baggy-ing" it – meaning you put a plastic bag or shower cap on your hair, and cover that with a scarf. In the morning you can wash your hair and style as normal.

HAIR DYE/HAIR COLORING NOTE: for those that color their hair – while I have not noticed any loss of hair coloring while using this product, some people have reported that coconut oil in general causes their hair color to fade, while others report no issues at all. I believe the affect would vary between different brands, types and shades of hair coloring, so I have no way to guarantee that it will not affect your specific color. If you choose to try the product, please try a patch test on a small piece of hair before doing the whole head, or see our sample listing and order a couple of sample of this first to see how it may affect your hair coloring.

WARNING: Safety of specific herbs/oils in this product for pregnant or nursing women or children has not been determined. For this reason we do not recommend this product for use by women who are pregnant or nursing, or for children.

A Little Goes A Long Way:
If you apply it to your scalp only, one 4 oz bottle can last approximately 2-3 months. Over time and with regular use, you should see noticeably stronger, more beautiful hair.

So how long will it take to work?
That depends on the type and condition of your hair, state of health, diet, etc. (see our FAQ’s for more info). Some users notice an almost immediate result, such as noticeable growth in the first few weeks. Other users see results within 2-3+ months of frequent use.
