The reason for this is that it is a highly concentrated fortifying conditioner that contains many components that promote stronger looking hair, such as silica. Overuse of any fortifying treatment - not just this one - can result in a "coarse" feel to your hair, much like when you over treat your had with protein treatments. So a little goes a long way, so there is no need to use a lot. Works on all hair textures: Caucasian, African & Asian. Specs- the 1 oz comes in your choice of a clear or amber glass bottle (whichever is available) with a dropper or plastic bottle with twist applicator. The 4 oz comes in a clear, plastic squeeze bottle with twistable applicator tip. Due to the castor oil in this, it is a somewhat thicker oil. Can be used as-is or cut in half with plain olive or grapeseed oil if you would like a thinner oil. **May have pieces of botanicals in the bottle- we do not strain all of the botanicals off, we leave a few so they can continue to infuse into the oil as time goes on, but the amount in each bottle is random and is as poured.
