This butter is made with Sublimed Sulfur, Organic Coconut Oil Jojoba Oil, Peppermint, Clove & Organic Rosemary essential oils, and contains vitamin E and high quality Shea butter.

It is extremely concentrated and is intended to be used sparingly once a week as a treatment. So a little goes a very long way.

Suitable for medium to high porosity hair; due to the thick and coating nature of this product, it is not for use on low-porosity hair.

Specs:
VERY concentrated, use only as directed. This butter is not to be used daily or to be applied in huge amounts to scalp and hair or to be left on the hair for extended periods of time. I know it can be tempting to apply it daily and liberally in an effort to get to results faster, but please resist the urge because it simply isn’t necessary, but also because using in excess may lead to scalp irritation. *Do not use if there are abrasions/micro abrasions in your scalp as the sulfur and essential oils may irritate them (stinging sensation).*

Scent: Characteristic mostly of peppermint and clove with a touch of rosemary and the dry note of sulfur.

Color: Light Yellow, may have some bits of sulfur powder

Texture: buttery/creamy/balm-like

Available Sizes: 2, 4 and 8 oz. Packaging will either be clear or amber depending on what we have in stock. The jars are filled by volume, not by weight, so for example, the product in a 2 oz jar will not necessarily weight 2 oz as it is whipped and light.
2 oz is a sample size, 4 oz should give the average person 1-2 months of use, 8 oz is more of a family size because if used as directed, it should last the average person 6 months – 1 year.

Ingredients: Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Organic Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Sublimed Sulfur Powder, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Maranta Arundinacea (Arrowroot) Root Powder, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Mentha piperita (Peppermint) Oil, Organic Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Powder and Oil. May contain traces of Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) [we strain our herbal oils/butters through unbleached cotton].

Directions: First time users must perform a patch test: apply a fingertip amount of butter to a 1 inch area on your scalp or to the inside of your elbow and leave on for 24 hours, monitoring for irritation. If irritation occurs, wash area completely with soap or shampoo and water. If there is no irritation, move forward with using the product as directed. Normal Use: with clean, dry hands, apply a dime to quarter-sized amount of product to the scalp once per week. Gently massage into scalp for about 3 minutes. If you wash product out instead of leaving it in, you may apply once more per week (2x total). Do not apply more than directed.

NOTE: A little goes a long way. Since this contains a higher amount of sulfur, do not apply more than directed as doing so could lead to irritation. It is not recommended to apply this butter to the entire length of your hair. It’s okay if some does get on the hair, but please note that purposely applying it to the length of the hair will sort of be like wasting the product.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended that you discontinue use of sulfur products at least 14 days before having a chemical service done on your hair, AND that you consult your professional stylist about how use of products containing sulfur may or may not affect your chemical service.

SEASONAL WARNING- Butters are subject to melting. Depending on the season/temperature, this butter may melt in transit to you, especially if temperatures inside the delivery vehicles or your mailbox and etc. exceed 72 degrees. The product may still be fine to use, but when it melts, it just may partially or totally lose its whipped texture. Despite our best efforts, there is no way for us to prevent melting unless maybe the items are shipped refrigerated overnight, which would cost approximately $30 extra in shipping.
To avoid melting and disappointment, please be mindful of the temperature where you are having the butters shipped as we cannot control temperatures inside postal vehicles or your mailbox. For best results, you will want to avoid the butter sitting inside a mailbox for too long.

If the product melts, the product may not appear as fluffy inside the container and you may have to re-aerate/re-whip it using a hand mixer. If you want to avoid this altogether, please order one of our pomades, which has beeswax in it to keep the product from melting. Otherwise, request a custom order. Shipping outside of US:
Please contact me for a quote. I cannot ship USPS priority to places outside of the US, however, I can ship 1st class, but please note that loss/damage is NOT covered once the package leaves US soil. This is because, unfortunately, packages have been subject to theft, interception and fraud in some countries. Also, USPS has no way to track packages outside of the US.
